Every time we drive by this one we smile a little.
On this South Minneapolis home built in 1890 we had many challenges. While turn of the century homes are usually very solid as this one was, nothing was straight or level. First we removed all the siding soffit and fascia. There was some critter removal in the porch roof area, yes we are good at that too. After the demo was complete we installed a new porch beam and porch rafters to straighten the front porch out. Then we installed James Hardie four inch smooth lap siding to recreate the look of the original yellow pine siding. We installed new James Hardie crown molding, fascia and soffit too. We installed James Hardie NT3 trim around all windows and doors as well. The final touch was a premium field paint job use Sherwin Williams Duration paint.
