James Hardie Night Gray Shakes and Countrylane Red Lap Siding in Lino Lakes, MN

Intro

This Lino Lakes home was ready for a dramatic refresh. The old siding was faded, the entry lacked charm, and the exterior had little to set it apart. Craftsman’s Choice completely transformed the home with James Hardie lap siding in Countrylane Red, shakes in Night Gray, and crisp Arctic White trim. To further enhance curb appeal, we added a new front porch with a black metal roof, crown moulding on the windows, and shake accents, creating a bold and timeless design.

Project Overview

The original siding on this Lino Lakes home had become faded and uninspiring. The homeowners wanted a look that would spruce up the front of the home and give it personality while also delivering long-term durability.

Craftsman’s Choice replaced the old siding with James Hardie lap siding in Countrylane Red, a warm, rich color that instantly brought life to the exterior. For added dimension, we installed Night Gray shakes in the gables, accented by crisp Arctic White trim to frame the design. To highlight the windows, crown moulding was added, giving the home an elevated, custom finish.

The biggest design upgrade came at the entryway, where we built a new porch with a black metal roof. This addition not only provides shelter and function but also serves as a bold architectural statement. Combined with the contrasting siding and shake textures, the home now has a dynamic and welcoming curb presence.

Beyond aesthetics, the homeowners can rest assured knowing James Hardie siding is engineered for Minnesota weather, resisting pests, moisture, and freeze-thaw damage. The ColorPlus® Technology ensures the vibrant colors of Countrylane Red and Night Gray will remain rich for years to come.

The result is a complete transformation: from faded and dated to bold, charming, and built to last.
