The Craftsman’s Choice team tapped their design expertise to transform this lovely Eden Prairie, MN home. New GAF Timberline and metal roofing, James Hardie lap siding, James Hardie Heritage staggered shakes, trim and new gables were the elements of this successful design. The project was the culmination of the design and installation expertise of the Craftsman’s Choice pros.
The transformation of this two-story in Eden Prairie, MN began with design software. This software helped the clients understand the visual impact of their design choices. One of the most impactful of these design choices was the addition of small gables over the upper story windows and a larger gable over the garage. The gables break up the roofline and add height and interest to the formerly flat roofline. The James Hardie soffit and fascia in Arctic White beautifully highlight the new gables. The roofing material was also updated with GAF Timberline laminate shingles. ACM standing-seam metal roofing was used to accent the front porch, bay window and garage eyebrow.
Siding color and material were also major design features of this Eden Prairie, MN makeover. The choice for the main body of the home was James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding in Iron Gray. The new gable additions over the windows and garage were accented with James Hardie Heritage staggered shakes in Iron Gray. Subtly changing the siding texture while repeating the Night Gray color selection was a sophisticated design decision. Finally, James Hardie trim in Arctic White on the corners and windows tied this smart design together with crisp definition.
