This lovely home in Eden Prairie, MN stands out from the crowd thanks to the Craftsman’s Choice team. A combination of James Hardie lap siding and shingle shakes, Cascade cultured stone and a new Marvin front door makes this home shine.
The jumping off point was the removal of the existing vinyl siding on the home. James Hardie lap siding in Woodstock Brown was chosen for the main body of the home with coordinating Woodstock Brown trim. To highlight the bump out on the upper level of the home, James Hardie shingle shakes in Countrylane Red was the choice. The texture and color change draws the eye to this architectural feature. To bring continuity to the front façade, James Hardie shingle shakes in Countrylane Red were repeated on the gable over the garage. The pop of color on the bump out and garage gable livened up the home’s appeal.
The front entry of this Eden Prairie home also received a makeover. A new Marvin Honduran Mahogany front door was selected to make a real statement. Cascade cultured stone around the new door added textural and color variation. The Cascade cultured stone was repeated on the front of the garage for continuity and interest. New cedar posts, trim and railing completed the front entry makeover. The echoes of reds and browns in the stonework, new door and cedar trim tie in beautifully with the James Hardie Countrylane Red and Woodstock Brown siding choices. The result was a winning design for this Eden Prairie home.
