This lovely Eden Prairie, MN two-story home is a study in neutral palette perfection. The certified pros at Craftsman’s Choice used James Hardie Colorplus lap siding, panel shakes and custom trim to make this understated beauty shine. The combination of textures and neutrals was the key to the success of this southwestern suburban remodel.
The project kicked off with the removal of the existing vinyl siding. James Hardie 6-inch Cedarmill lap siding in Navajo Beige was installed on the body of the home and serves as the foundation of this neutral design. James Hardie Heritage panel shakes in Khaki Brown was installed on the body of the garage. The depth of the Khaki Brown provides subtle contrast from the Navajo Beige on the rest of the home. The textural shift of the James Hardie panel shakes also adds life this understated palette.
The accent detail of this Eden Prairie home was also an important part of this success story. Custom fluted trim in Arctic White was installed on the corners for a finishing touch. Because of the size requirement, the trim work was routed to specification by the Craftsman’s Choice pros. The fluting detail is another layer of texture to the project. The remaining trim accents in Arctic White beautifully define this sophisticated neutral design.
