The homeowners of this St. Paul home set the design direction. It was important that the remodel honor the charm of their 1950’s bungalow. James Hardie 6-inch lap siding in Iron Gray was selected for the main body of the home with this goal in mind. Iron Gray is a classic deep shade of gray that really grounds this vintage bungalow. The gable was clad in James Hardie Heritage Shakes in Arctic White. The shakes provide period-appropriate appeal. Finishing the shakes in Arctic White draws the eye upwards and creates a sense of added height to the home.
Attention to detail was another way the Craftsman’s Choice team delivered for these St. Paul clients. Crown molding with drip cap, made from James Hardie trim, accents the windows. The James Hardie corner trim in Artic White perfectly outlines the home’s façade. James Hardie bullnose trim on the skirt board was also finished in crisp Arctic White. Charming flower boxes were custom-made from Azek PVC to reinforce the vintage appeal. Multi-point lock doors by ThermaTru were also installed.
