Deep Ocean was the color of choice for this project. If you’re looking for the perfect bold but timeless color choice to update your home, look no further than this transformation in Orono, Minnesota.
Neutral beige homes as seen in the before picture are a dime a dozen. Cheap to construct but costly to maintain, the siding on this home was in major need of a refresh – and the homeowner wanted their property to stand out amongst the other cookie cutter homes on the block. Vinyl siding usually doesn’t come in darker colors due to how much it fades over time.
Deep Ocean James Hardie
Giving this home an instant new-building feel, the weather-tested and highly durable James HardiePlank siding in the color Deep Ocean fulfills the homeowners’ wishes. To truly ensure this James Hardie Deep Ocean blue color – also found in the texture of the shakes at the pitch of the roof – can live up to its potential, its contrasted in the trim with one of our favorite colors to use: Arctic White.
Building a portico is a great way to add style and elegance to the front of your home. The bases on this portico were made of cultured stone, which is an excellent material that is durable and weather-resistant. The hip roof provided a clean, classic look and provided a sense of height to the portico. GAF Birchwood shingles are a great choice for roofing material as they are lightweight, durable, and resistant to moisture and rot. For the ceiling, a beadboard finish gives a warm and inviting touch to the space, adding a classic feel to the portico.
The combination of these materials provided a timeless design that will enhance the look of this home for years to come.
We completed this transformative project with areas of gray cultured stone to give this home an outstanding appearance that will last for decades.
