The story of this Eden Prairie, MN project was elegant, layered neutrals. The building blocks of the project included James Hardie lap siding, James Hardie shingle shakes, James Hardie trim and cultured stone. The experts at Craftsman’s Choice brought this neutral palette to life.
When these clients in Eden Prairie, MN wanted to replace their tired cedar siding, they decided to upgrade to James Hardie products. The superior durability and style of James Hardie meant that their home would look good for years to come. The James Hardie experts at Craftsman’s Choice were chosen to make their plans a reality. James Hardie lap siding in Timber Bark was installed on the body of the home. Timber Bark was the grounding color of this neutral palette. James Hardie shingle shakes in Cobble Stone was installed to bring texture and interest to the gable peaks of the house and garage.
The neutral palette was further enhanced with the installation of cultured stone on the base of the home and garage. The earthy tones in the cultured stone beautifully coordinate with the Timber Bark lap siding. Using cultured stone added another element of texture and subtle color variation to the design scheme. James Hardie trim in Khaki Brown softly defines the windows and corners and provides a border between the cultured stone, lap siding and shingle shake layers. Corbel details made from James Hardie trim add the finishing touch to the gable peaks. The result is a layered and sophisticated palette for this lovely Eden Prairie home.
