This classic story and a half home in St. Louis Park, MN was reworked by the Craftsman’s Choice team. James Hardie lap siding and trim, along with the addition of a new portico completely transformed the front elevation of this charming home.
Beginning with the removal of the tired white siding, the body of this home was updated with James Hardie lap siding in Heathered Moss. This spring-like shade added just the right punch of color to wake up the front elevation. Consider Heathered Moss as a great neutral alternative to beige or taupe. The design was pulled together with crisp James Hardie Arctic White on the corners as well as the window trim. The resulting composition is a neutral color scheme that really pops.
The Craftsman’s Choice Team brought new dimension to the home by building a small gabled portico over the front door. The portico was a cost-effective way to add some shelter from the elements at the front door. The portico also brought new curb appeal by emphasizing the stylish front entrance. The James Hardie Heathered Moss lap siding was repeated on the gable of the portico for continuity. The ceiling was clad in white aluminum soffit that ties in with the Arctic White trim. The portico also features 8- inch James Hardie “Hardietrim” posts. The combination of a simple portico, a punch of color with Heathered Moss lap siding and crisp Arctic White trim makes this classic St. Louis Park home stand out from the crowd.
