Plymouth MN Timber Bark James Hardie Lap Siding & Cultured Stone

Before After

James Hardie Timber Bark

This renovation project in Plymouth, MN is a study in neutral perfection. James Hardie lap siding, shingle shakes and trim with cultured stone accents were the building blocks of this project. The Craftsman’s Choice team put these elements together for a winning transformation.

This Plymouth, MN renovation project illustrates how impactful a renewed neutral color scheme can be.   To set the neutral foundation, James Hardie ColorPlus lap siding in Woodstock Brown was installed on the first story of the home. Woodstock Brown was repeated on the upper story of the home with more James Hardie lap siding. The peak of the upper gable over the garage was accented with James Hardie board and batten siding repeated in Woodstock Brown. Changing the siding choice on the gable brought interest to the façade without the need to change color.

The accent details of this Plymouth renovation completed the neutral color story. The existing brickwork on the home was removed in favor of cultured stone. The cultured stone selection was Elkhorn Shadow Ledge by Environmental Stoneworks. The new stonework was used on the base of the home and on the entire bump-out gable.  This material change brought another layer of texture and color interest to the design. James Hardie trim in Arctic White smartly defines the corners, windows and garage bays. The result is a winning neutral update for these Plymouth homeowners.
