The renovation began with the choice of James Hardie lap siding in Timber Bark. The rich neutral taupe of Timber Bark perfectly complements the existing brick work on the home’s front exterior. In keeping with the neutral theme, James Hardie shake shingles in Khaki Brown were selected for the gable over the garage. Changing the color and texture of the siding adds interest and dimension. Sticking to a neutral palette helps tie the two siding choices together. Navajo Beige trim provides a lighter contrast to set off the darker Timber Bark and Khaki Brown body colors. The finishing touch of James Hardie shutters in Navajo Beige completes this smart exterior.
The transformation did not end there. A new maintenance-free deck was installed to round out this renovation. Azek decking was chosen in a soft taupe with a contrasting darker shade for the double racetrack border. The decking uses the Cortex hidden fastener system to provide a smooth finish.
